One evening, as I drove through part of rural Minnesota, I happened to see this idyllic scene. I grabbed my camera, jumped out of the car, and was able to capture this image. The gorgeous late sunshine and the calm water of the slough in the foreground reflected the brilliant reds of the buildings and the golden colors of the broken down silo beautifully. The trees behind the buildings also shimmered in the water, and it all combined to make this image possible.
Light fascinates me. It changes constantly, and never stops creating new versions of even familiar objects and scenes we look at every day. It can surprise and awe me on a daily, or even minute by minute basis, and make me want to stop and watch what it does. It creates a multitude of moods, and enriches the human experience in a way that most things don't. I love to capture it in images frozen by my camera. Thanks for stopping by!
