One afternoon on Kauai, with dark clouds closing in, and the wind whistling, the water became very restless. There was a sudden relatively small break in the clouds overhead, and the sun was able to shine on the water right in front of me. I was able for a few moments to fire off several frames, and because of the stark contrast of the water against the background of the dark clouds, I was able to capture this image.
Light fascinates me. It changes constantly, and never stops creating new versions of even familiar objects and scenes we look at every day. It can surprise and awe me on a daily, or even minute by minute basis, and make me want to stop and watch what it does. It creates a multitude of moods, and enriches the human experience in a way that most things don't. I love to capture it in images frozen by my camera. Thanks for stopping by!
