One evening I decided to go out with my camera and catch the late sun lighting the area along an out of the way lane. As I walked, I watched the multitude of colors and shapes in the foliage of the trees and the sky above. I was mesmerized by the beauty surrounding me. A gentle to moderate breeze was blowing, and I was refreshed by the scent of the many plants, large and small that were all around me. Finally I noticed the tall grass that covered the ground, and how there was a virtual kaleidoscope of colors and shapes formed by the sun playing on the countless stalks around me. The grass nodded and bowed as each current of the breeze passed through, which made it a little more challenging than usual to capture the incredible beauty of the grass. So I waited patiently with my camera at the ready. There was a pause as the breeze held its breath momentarily, and I was able to capture this image.

Light fascinates me. It changes constantly, and never stops creating new versions of even familiar objects and scenes we look at every day. It can surprise and awe me on a daily, or even minute by minute basis, and make me want to stop and watch what it does. It creates a multitude of moods, and enriches the human experience in a way that most things don't. I love to capture it in images frozen by my camera. Thanks for stopping by!
