My wife and I decided to take a long road trip from our home in Western Washington to visit a number of landmarks and national parks. One such park was Bryce Canyon National Park. This amazing place looks like it is on another planet. It is especially otherworldly as seen from the floor of the canyon as one walks along the trails among the hoodoos. One day my family and I did just that, and it was an incredible experience. There are some wonderful scenic overlook areas as well though, and some beautiful sights are there to see, especially as the sun falls lower in the sky, and as the sun rises early in the morning. I captured this image of these formations as the last light of the day touched the tops of some magnificent hoodoos.
Light fascinates me. It changes constantly, and never stops creating new versions of even familiar objects and scenes we look at every day. It can surprise and awe me on a daily, or even minute by minute basis, and make me want to stop and watch what it does. It creates a multitude of moods, and enriches the human experience in a way that most things don't. I love to capture it in images frozen by my camera. Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoy these images.
