Don't let the fancy name confuse you... a beach sheet is just a large beach towel.

As I was driving through the state of Montana, I saw this set of old buildings on the prairie. I was fascinated with them, so I pulled over and captured a number of images. The old barn especially caught my eye. Someone at some time in the past put a different roof on it than the original. But when I see old buildings, I always wonder what knowing their history would tell us. Who lived there, why did they choose that particular place to build, what happened to the owners, and many other questions run through my mind. There is a rich history behind places like this, and they evoke many thoughts and emotions related to the past.
Light fascinates me. It changes constantly, and never stops creating new versions of even familiar objects and scenes we look at every day. It can surprise and awe me on a daily, or even minute by minute basis, and make me want to stop and watch what it does. It creates a multitude of moods, and enriches the human experience in a way that most things don't. I love to capture it in images frozen by my camera. Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoy these images.
